Update: I came in 4th place and won $752 for ASMT!
I’ve been able to raise money for various non-profit organizations over the past year by joggling different races around town. I was thinking about joggling the I Run For The Party Halloween 5k last week, but ended up not making it. One of the non-profit organizations that benefited from that race is The Autism Society of Middle Tennessee.
I now have another opportunity to raise money for ASMT, not by joggling, but by playing in a charity Poker Tournament hosted by Purpose Inc. The tournament will take place during the PubCon conference that I will be attending in Las Vegas.
I have had the privilege to work and volunteer with ASMT and can speak very highly of the work that they are doing to support the autism community in Middle Tennessee. They not only provide support, resources, education, and advocacy for children and adults on the autism spectrum, but for the families, friends, and all of those affected by autism, as well. More information can be found on their website.
